The aim of this work is to reflect on the widespread usage of QR codes in modern-day societies and how they can benefit the museum visitor experience.
The objective is to understand the relation between museums, their expositive spaces, visitors and the integration of new technologies as a way of improving the visitor experience. For that, a comprehensive study has been done regarding QR codes and their implementation in a museum context.
Implementing this interactive system between the museum exhibition area and the museum visitors requires the creation of an online platform as a way to share museum contents. This work reflects the steps of creating such an online platform as well as its implementation with the use of QR codes to benefit the visitor museum experience.
The objective is to demonstrate that the creation and implementation of a QR code interaction system between museum and visitors is beneficial for both, during the visit as well as before and after.
